This image I had planned for a very long time, I had to wait for the sun to rise in the correct place so that could position it in the crack of the headland at Diamond Head Beach, NSW, Australia. When I open up the shutter and close off the aperture i am able to let the cameras sensor take in the sunlight to create what is called a sun flare.
